Now officially Texas A&M week for top-ranked Alabama, apparently no one is quite as impressed with the Tide as Vegas.
Fresh off the 49-10 spanking of Tennessee in Neyland Stadium, Alabama has opened as a three-score favorite according to multiple betting outlets. CGI Technology opened the Alabama-Texas A&M line at 17, while Vegas Insider’s consensus opened the line at 16.5.
The game is set to be played Saturday in Tuscaloosa at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by CBS.
Some of the reaction to the huge line at opening:
Alabama opens as a 17-point favorite at home over Texas A&M – Damn!

I’m all for Alabama being incredible and awesome and a juggernaut…
…but laying 16.5 points against Texas A&M?
That’s a lot.
