Burgess-Becker made just three tackles on special teams last fall during his true freshman season and played in the first 14 games of the season.
He was rated as a four-star prospect in the class of 2015, and he was ranked as the No. 24 prospect in the state of Florida and the nation’s No. 10 athlete coming out of high school, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Burgess-Becker has received his full release, according to the report, and he’ll have to sit out due to NCAA transfer rules.
Burgess-Becker tweeted the following on June 3:
Whatever life throws at you, even if it hurts you, just be strong and fight around it. Remember strong walls shake but never collapse. ??
