Many of the nation’s top recruits are gathered in Beaverton, Oregon, this week at The Opening, a showcase hosted at the Nike campus.
To end the day on Friday, teams of commits had some fun representing their schools and conferences in a Tug’o’War competition.
Alabama’s powerhouse squad included 2017’s No. 1 recruit Najee Harris, Alex Leatherwood, VanDarius Cowan and Tua Tagovailoa.
In the quarterfinals, Alabama met up with a familiar foe in LSU. The Tide made quick work of the Tigers, earning a decisive victory:

In the semifinals, another SEC opponent awaited Alabama’s recruits. Though the video cuts out just before the finish, the Crimson Tide team takes down Georgia to advance:

In the finals, Alabama recruits had to take on a team made up of Pac-12 commits. That may seem a bit unfair, but, after falling behind early, the Tide gained their footing and pulled their way to victory:

The Tide should be in good hands in 2017 and beyond.
