Arkansas senior tailback Jonathan Williams won’t play during the regular season, coach Bret Bielema revealed Monday.
Williams, who rushed for 1,190 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, needs surgery on a left foot injury that will keep him out through December.

Williams skipped a shot at the NFL Draft in January to return to the Razorbacks for his final campaign. He would be eligible for a medical redshirt if he chooses.
Bielema is hopeful Williams will be able to play in the postseason if Arkansas reaches a bowl game.
