The Razorbacks depth at receiver and defensive back have taken a hit as Bret Bielema announced Wednesday at SEC Media Days that both senior Eric Hawkins and sophomore Willie Sykes intend to transfer out of Arkansas.

Hawkins has already graduated and plans to take advantage of the graduate transfer rule, according to Bielema. In his three seasons on the field, Hawkins caught 18 passes for 386 yards during his Arkansas career. During Willie Sykes’ one year on the field, he made nine tackles in total last season.

“We’re working with (Sykes) on options to move on from there,” Bielema said. “He played as a true freshman, so he can go somewhere and redshirt and still be in (FBS). I would expect some place closer to home. I think there are some things he’d like to be closer to home on.”

Sykes, a former three-star recruit, is from Spring, Texas.
