Injured Arkansas RB makes it onto the field for victory formation at Liberty Bowl

Published:
There was a warm and fuzzy ending to today’s Liberty Bowl, and it wasn’t just because Arkansas crushed Kansas State for the conference’s eighth win of the bowl season.
You see, injured RB Jonathan Williams was dressed out for today’s game, and was even one of the captains at the coin toss to start the game:

That was thought to perhaps be the extent of the star running back’s involvement.
Not exactly.
Williams, who missed the entire season with a foot injury, was able to take the field to be a part of the victory formation for the Razorbacks at the end of the game.
Here’s Twitter’s reaction to Bret Bielema’s class decision in the victory against Kansas State on Saturday:
Great move by putting Jonathan Williams in the game for the victory formation. #LibertyBowl

Many Razorbacks fans will look back on the 2015 season and wonder what could’ve been if Arkansas could’ve stayed healthy.
It would’ve been a treat to watch Williams work in the same backfield as Alex Collins again this season.
