Arkansas coach Bret Bielema after losing heartbreaker: ‘We weren’t able to execute most simple thing’

The climb to SEC relevancy took a devastating hit for the Arkansas Razorbacks after losing to Mississippi State 51-50 on Saturday.
Brandon Allen threw seven touchdown passes to four receivers.
But with the game on the line, the Razorbacks got conservative after Allen passed them into field goal position in the final minute.
Three consecutive run plays set up a 29-yard field goal attempt to win their fifth straight.
That’s when disaster struck.

Here’s what Arkansas coach Bret Bielema had to say after what was easily his team’s most wrenching defeat of the season.
Arkansas coach Bret Bielema: We weren't able to execute the most basic thing we should be able to do–a FG inside the 20.

BB: unfortunately we came up short tonight. I knew their offense was dangerous and we weren't opportunistic enough

BB: BA continues to be impressive. We need to do everything we can to send the seniors out the right way next week

BB: They got a lot of yardage. We won't win games giving up yards like that.

Bielema: Hunter Henry and Jeremy Sprinkle are as good a combo as I've ever had at TE.

Bielema: Don't think this group will have any trouble bouncing back. It sucks, it stings. But I expect them to prepare well and play well
