Irvin came to the Tigers as a four-star member of it 2015 recruiting class and played extensively as a true freshman last season, making several starts at the nickelback position for then defensive coordinator Will Muschamp. Irvin registered 18 tackles and two pass breakups last season.

Irvin is the nephew of Dallas Cowboy Hall of Fame receiver Michael Irvin.

Don’t rule out Irvin exploring his options at a transfer to South Carolina, as Muschamp and new Gamecock defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson served as Irvin’s primary recruiters to Auburn. Robinson served as the defensive backs coach for the Tigers last season.
