Auburn safety Nick Ruffin was disqualified for his hit on LSU’s Trey Quinn late in the second quarter.
Quinn was running a crossing pattern over the middle and Ruffin came up from his Star position and leveled a hit on him that was called for targeting.
It’s important to know that because the penalty was in the first half of Saturday night’s game against LSU, Ruffin will be available to play next week when the Tigers travel to Mississippi State to face the Bulldogs.
