In a complete shock, Gus Malzahn announced Wednesday night that projected starting running back Jovon Robinson has been dismissed from the Auburn football team.

Robinson was not present at practice for the start of fall camp earlier in the day. Rumors ran wild on social media pertaining to why Robinson was absent.

Malzahn did not elaborate as to why Robinson ultimately departed. As a result, an already sparse backfield becomes considerably thinner. Auburn will now likely rely upon young running backs Kerryon Johnson and Malik Miller for production.
