The Florida Gators may have finally found its kicker.
A day after backing out of a commitment to Alabama, Miami native and top-rated kicker in the country Eddy Pineiro committed to Florida, he announced on Twitter:

Pineiro originally committed to Alabama in June but backed off that commitment recently, visiting Florida twice during the season, including an official visit for the Florida State game.
The Gators desperately needed a kicker this year. Florida kickers went 7 for 17 this year, including three blocked kicks. The team got so desperate it held tryouts for all interested students during the season for a replacement.
The poor kicking was a big reason the Gators offense was shut out in that rivalry game with the Seminoles.
The immediate need for someone like Pineiro appeared to win out for the Gators.
