Pair of Florida players, including starter, ruled ineligible for Citrus Bowl

Florida’s maligned offensive line will be shorthanded during Friday’s Citrus Bowl against Michigan.
According to The Gainesville Sun’s Robbie Andreu, a pair of Gators are ineligible to play in the game.
Have confirmed that offensive tackle Mason Halter and reserve linebacker Anthony Harrell are ineligible for the Gators for the Citrus Bowl.

Halter, a transfer from Fordham, has been a nice addition for Florida, a team desperate for decent offensive line play — heck, even healthy bodies at the position — before the 2015 season. But it appears that he will not be available against the Wolverines.
Michigan fields the second-best defense in the Big Ten based on yards allowed per game (281.3). If Florida is to win as a four-point favorite, coach Jim McElwain’s team will need to find a way to get some push up front.
