Will Georgia bring out its black jersey this season?
Opinions vary.
Athletic director Greg McGarity said earlier this month that the Bulldogs would not be wearing alternate uniforms this season, but Georgia does have a ‘black-out’ game set up for its matchup against Kentucky on Nov. 7.

Alternate uniforms don’t always go over well and if the Bulldogs do bring back the black jerseys, it won’t be against Alabama, that’s for sure.
An interesting take on a 2015 alternate would be a throwback combination, similar to Georgia’s look in the 1980s with red pants. The vibrant white on red combo could be worn at home or on the road and wouldn’t deviate from the Bulldogs’ base colors.
If there are any uniform changes this season, the greatest chance will be Georgia’s scheduled return to its iconic ‘silver britches’ instead of the dull, grey look the Bulldogs have worn in recent years. Over the last several years with Nike, Georgia’s pants have lacked the necessary sheen associated with one of the more classic styles in the SEC.
Various reports have indicated that since the beginning of the 2013 campaign, Georgia’s athletic department has asked the swoosh’s R&D team for shiny pants. The Bulldogs debuted their current uniform set, a slight change from previous models with modified lettering and numerals along with a new secondary logo, that same season.
Senior Associate Athletic Director Claude Felton provided this update on silver pants to the AJC in May: “We won’t get the game pants for this year until June or July; however, we are hopeful they will be closer to the original silver britches.”
