Safety J.J. Green was ejected from Saturday’s game against Troy due to a targeting call on the third play of the game.

Troy quarterback Dontreal Pruitt threw a pass to the left sideline that was ruled a catch and Green came over the top from his safety position and appeared to lead with his shoulder but made contact with the Troy receiver’s helmet.

After review, the call was upheld but the catch was ruled incomplete. Green was disqualified.
