For the third consecutive season, Georgia, a preseason favorite, isn’t going to win an SEC East title.
A comfortable preseason favorite in the division, the Bulldogs once again will finish behind an underdog. Florida crushed Georgia on Saturday, winning 27-3. The final scoreboard didn’t represent the canyon between the teams.
The Bulldogs look inept on offense. The defense can’t tackle and isn’t applying much pressure. Worse, UGA has lost three of four games — and scored just nine points in a win against Missouri. With Kentucky, Auburn and Georgia Tech remaining, it’s very possible this team could finish 8-4 or worse — this after entering the season as a team in the conversation for a College Football Playoff berth.
Georgia coach Mark Richt is getting blistered on social media as a result, and could find his job status in flux depending on how the athletic administration perceives him.
Has the narrative shifted to “UGA can’t do better” to “it’s time for a change?”
I love #CMR as a coach and leader, but painfully it is clear this staff is not getting it down. Good recruiters but subpar game execution

Mark Richt has gone yolo with all these changes today. Wow.

Wonder if the defense of Mark Richt's job security by veteran media members will be as spirited this week as it was last week.

Dear Mark Richt, if that's you're best QB option then someone has gone horribly horribly wrong with your program.

Kelvin Taylor scores on 3-yard TD and it's #Gators 20, #Dogs 0 … Maybe Mark Richt should go after the Miami job, after all.

I’ve long been a Mark Richt defender, but a loss to Florida today would be a big hit. Dawgs just haven’t delivered this year.

With Tennessee being eternally young and Mark Richt doing things the "right way" McElwain should own the East for a long time…

I'm officially selling my tickets aboard the Mark-Richt-Can-Win train. No excuse for a team looking this poorly coached 15 years into tenure

I feel so bad for Mark Richt cause he's literally never had an offense this bad at Ga and he's trying everything to get them right

I really don't understand how Mark Richt still has a job

— Darquavious Winston (@FrattyIce) October 31, 2015
@MarkRicht Coach, you need to do the right thing and resign. You are embarrassing our program!
