Tuesday night’s news of top quarterback prospect Mac Jones’ flip from Kentucky to Alabama was sure to bring joy to Nick Saban and his staff. Meanwhile in Lexington, Mark Stoops and his troops have to be especially deflated after holding Jones’ commitment for nearly a year before he jumped ship to the Tide.
Soon after the decommitment news hit, Kentucky’s co-offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Darin Hinshaw sent out an interesting tweet that certainly seemed to be a subtweet directed at Jones and Alabama:

It sure looks like Hinshaw just compared Alabama to an evil choice here.
Having spent the 2010-2012 seasons as an assistant coach at Tennessee, this isn’t Hinshaw’s first experience going up against Alabama. During his time working the sidelines in Knoxville, Tennessee lost all three matchups against Saban and Alabama by a combined score of 122-29.
Starting to make sense why Hinshaw would associate the Crimson Tide with pure evil.
Update: Jones sent out the following tweet that was quickly deleted Tuesday night.
