In the midst of LSU’s 16-14 loss to Wisconsin in Week 1, Leonard Fournette suffered a contusion on his lower leg according to head coach Les Miles via theadvocate.com.

“I think Leonard Fournette is a go or, if not a go, we won’t know until game day,” said Miles, to a member of the football team’s support staff.

Miles has been iffy about Fournette’s status all week.

Despite the loss to the Badgers, Fournette still ran for 138 yards while catching three passes for 38 yards. Especially with how Brandon Harris has played under center, having Fournette available would only help the Tigers.

LSU hosts Jacksonville State in a game slated to start at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be televised on ESPNU.

A video featuring Miles talking about Jacksonville State and Fournette’s status can be seen here.
