Kicker announces his LSU career is over via Twitter

LSU placekicker/punter Trent Domingue announced via Twitter that his career is over with the Tigers since his scholarship wasn’t renewed.

Domingue was a 2015 Lou Groza Award Semifinalist. He was supposed to be a fifth-year senior in 2016.

As the starting placekicker in 2015, Domingue finished 13-for-17 on field goals last season and 49-of-50 extra-points. He redshirted in 2012 and did not see any game action in 2013. During his sophomore season, he handled the kickoff duties and recorded 28 touchbacks on the season.

Colby Delahoussaye is LSU’s backup kicker.
