Former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott may have been one of the most intriguing players for scouts to watch entering Senior Bowl week.

He went from being a guy that most were sure could not play the position at the pro level to being a guy that is legitimately being considered thanks to a strong senior season that showcased his passing abilities.

Prescott entered Saturday’s Senior Bowl in the second quarter, and turned in the best drive of the first half.

After acquiring the ball with just over two minutes remaining in the first half, Prescott executed an impressive two-minute drill that ended in the first passing touchdown of the day with a five-yard connection to Southeast Missouri State’s Paul McRoberts.

Here’s a look at Prescott’s performance during that 80-yard touchdown drive to put the South ahead 17-3 at halftime:

  • Dak Prescott run for 7 yds to the South 29
  • Dak Prescott pass complete to Jay Lee for 19 yds to the North 37 for a 1ST down
  • Dak Prescott pass complete to Jay Lee for 11 yds to the North 26 for a 1ST down
  • Dak Prescott pass incomplete to Jay Lee
  • Dak Prescott pass complete to Paul McRoberts for 14 yds to the North 12 for a 1ST down
  • Dak Prescott pass incomplete to Darion Griswold
  • Dak Prescott run for 7 yds to the North 5
  • Dak Prescott pass complete to Paul McRoberts for 5 yds for a TD

The media was impressed:
