As expected, the hip injury that Morgan Steward suffered during Friday’s full-pads practice isn’t a big deal. The team confirmed as much after Saturday’s practice.
Steward, the de facto second-string running back at the moment, is day-to-day with a strained right hip, according to media reports. It would be a surprise to see him participate in Tuesday’s scrimmage, but I’d expect him back at practice at some point next week.

In other news, Connor McGovern told the Columbia Tribune that the strained pec he suffered trying to bench press 495 pounds is recovering well and that the team is just being cautious.
“The worst thing we can do is go a little too early,” McGovern said, according to the Tribune.
