On the forth day of Christmas, the SEC gave to us:
Four losing records
Yikes. That took a turn to the negative. While there weren’t four SEC teams with overall losing records, the SEC East had four teams with losing records in the conference. South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt all failed to reach the .500 mark this season. Fans of teams in the East are certainly tired of hearing that the division had a down year, but there really isn’t any getting around it. While Kentucky got off to hot starts, they struggled mightily down the stretch. South Carolina got off to a rough start and never recovered. Tennessee stumbled out of the gates but closed well. Vanderbilt, well, Vanderbilt was just bad all year long. Here’s to hoping that the new year brings the SEC East back in to form.
Day Three: Three New Year’s Six
Day Two: Gary and Verne Love
Day One: A Berth in the Playoffs
Worked for the internet in Los Angeles before being lured back to Florida by SEC football and the promise of a bourbon bar. When he's not internetting or watching football, he's probably out giving himself 4-footers on the golf course.
