Prince Tega Wanogho Jr., a four-star defensive end strongly considering Auburn and other SEC programs, suffered a horrific leg break during a basketball game yesterday.

Just got a great message on Edgewood star Prince Tega Wanogho Jr.:
" It's a clean break, he should be good to go by May." – HC Bobby Carr.

247Sports has Wanogho Jr. as the 4th best overall player in the state of Alabama, and the 8th best strong-side defensive end in the country. Wanogho Jr. was considered an Auburn lean, but was considering offers from Tennessee and LSU as well. He has scholarship offers and interest from Ole Miss, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky and Vanderbilt as well. He also just received a visit yesterday before the injury from UGA head coach Mark Richt.
Wanogho Jr.’s story is quite fascinating. He arrived in Alabama from Nigeria last summer to play basketball, but when the 6’8″ athlete played football, he began receiving offers from notable programs quite quickly. Despite his inexperience at football, his body size and athleticism made him a target for many SEC schools. He also recently reclassified to be included in the 2015 recruiting class.
We wish Prince Tega Wanogho Jr. a speedy recovery and a successful career at whatever school he chooses to attend.
