One of the most sought-after recruits in the nation has pushed back his college decision.
Five-star running back Cam Akers tweeted Friday morning that he will not commit to a school during Dec. 10’s Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game. He believes the latest he will announce his decision will be during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 7, 2017.
I will not be committing at the Ms-Al game. After means probably the Army Bowl at the latest.

Several SEC schools are hopeful to land the top-ranked player in Mississippi, most notably Ole Miss, LSU and Alabama. Ohio State and Florida State are also in the mix, and Akers took a visit to Michigan on Nov. 19.
247Sports’ composite rating pegs Akers, who hails from Clinton, Mississippi, as the No. 2 running back and No. 5 overall player in the 2017 recruiting class.
