It’ll take some additional wiggling, but former Notre Dame quarterback and Palmetto state native Everett Golson could be headed to the SEC next season.
247Sports is reporting that Golson will visit with South Carolina on Monday and has a scheduled date in Athens the following day, per sources.

As a freshman starter in 2012, Golson led the Fighting Irish to a berth in the BCS Championship Game against Alabama. He was suspended for the 2013 campaign due to academic improprieties.
Last season, Golson led FBS quarterbacks with 22 turnovers before losing his job to Malik Zaire.
According to Bleacher Report college football lead Barrett Sallee, the SEC’s graduate transfer bylaw has a specific statute that prevents one-year graduate transfers from transferring in if they’ve been disciplined at another program.

Golson would be an intriguing addition for the Bulldogs or Gamecocks, two teams with uncertainty at the quarterback position after replacing senior starters.
South Carolina running back David Williams is already tweeting about the possibilities.
