Alabama running back Derrick Henry and South Carolina linebacker Skai Moore have been named the SEC’s offensive and defensive players of the week, the league office announced Monday.
Henry rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries during the Crimson Tide’s win over No. 20 Wisconsin while Moore recorded a team-best 10 tackles and picked off two passes in the end zone against North Carolina last Thursday.
Moore’s interception on 4th-and-Goal late in the fourth quarter preserved the Gamecocks’ hard-fought victory in Charlotte. Moore is the active SEC leader with nine career interceptions.
Do the Aggies have another defensive end just as disruptive as Myles Garrett?
Daeshon Hall was honored as the league’s defensive lineman of the week after a stellar effort in Houston against Arizona State, contributing four of the Aggies’ nine sacks in John Chavis’ debut as defensive coordinator.
Daeshon Hall’s 4 sacks? Tied for 2nd most ever by an Aggie in a game. (Myles Garrett and Donovan Wilson added 2 each).
