A not-so-great Week 2 for the SEC is being reflected in the latest bowl projections.
While many SEC teams are still vying for some of the nation’s top bowls, some are seeing their likelihood of even making a bowl drop.
For instance, many pundits figured South Carolina had a shot at earning the six wins necessary to make a bowl game, but the Gamecocks were left completely off the national projections following their Week 2 loss to Kentucky.
Vanderbilt, on the other hand, didn’t feature in hardly any preseason projections. That didn’t change after the weekend. There are still plenty of interesting SEC bowl possibilities, though.
Here are the Week 2 consensus bowl projections:
