Five-star QB Tate Martell is the prize of the 2017 Texas A&M recruiting class.
That’s why the letter he posted to Twitter on Monday should make Aggies fans both proud and concerned.

The letter and reasoning show maturity about making the right long-term decision without any regrets.
That’s good for Aggies fans that have watched two top rated quarterbacks leave campus shortly after their arrival.
It also shows how volatile his commitment to the Aggies could be, because frankly there are a lot of schools on that list and a full slate of visits ahead. And it sounds like Martell will be taking them with an open mind, which means there’s a significant chance he finds a coach or program that says and does the right things to lure him away from Aggieland.
That’s bad for Aggies fans hoping that last August’s commitment from Martell would be largely unchallenged.
So, just to recap Martell’s current status with the SEC, per his latest message:
Offers
Alabama
Arkansas
Auburn
LSU
Texas A&M
Wants an offer/visit
South Carolina
Tennessee
Sorry Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, the nation’s No. 1 rated dual-threat quarterback does not have you on the list at this point.
Here’s a look at some highlights of Martell in game action:
