Texas A&M may have just landed its next running back as the Aggies gained a commitment from Travis Etienne. A&M landed Etinenne’s commitment during the weekend’s barbecue recruiting event.

Which was followed up by this tweet by Billy Luicci announcing the news of the commitment:

The 5-foot-11, 199-pound Etienne is currently ranked as a four-star prospect, the No. 19 running back prospect and the No. 7 overall prospect from the state of Louisiana according to 247Sports. Etienne chose the Aggies despite holding offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi State and Virginia Tech among others.
As a high school junior, Etienne ran for 2,918 yards and 47 touchdowns in only 11 games. With his commitment, the Aggies now have 11 total pledges for the 2017 recruiting class.
