When Tennessee OL Ray Raulerson announced that he was leaving the Volunteers on June 23, it was assumed he’d move down to the FCS level to avoid having to sit out a year.
However, Raulerson said today that he’s transferring to West Virginia and will sit out the 2016 season, according to a report by The News Tribune.
Raulerson, now a redshirt sophomore, appeared in five games for the Volunteers in 2015.
The 6-foot-4, 287-pound former three-star recruit will be eligible to play for the Mountaineers in 2017.
