At 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, Tennessee RB Jalen Hurd takes “big back” to a new meaning.
The junior Volunteers running back recently caught up with Tennessee Titans RB Demarco Murray for a “good talk.” While some Tennessee football fans of both leagues were likely intrigued by seeing the two running backs together, something else about the photo stood out on social media.

Goodness, Hurd makes DeMarco Murray (6'0" 217lbs) look like a high school player. pic.twitter.com/Qy7t7hVlhg

Most people wouldn’t consider the 6-foot, 217-pound Murray small for an NFL running back, but Hurd noticeably towers over him.
It’s not the first time an SEC running back has made a pro ball-carrier look small by comparison. Murray’s new teammate, Derrick Henry, dwarfed a plain-clothed Mark Ingram when the two stood next to each other at the national championship game.
