Tennessee got some good news on Sunday afternoon as the Volunteers added a big piece to their 2017 recruiting class.
Four-star athlete Maleik Gray of LaVergne, Tennessee, made his decision official via his Twitter account:
I can officially say that I'm committed to The University of Tennessee!! ? #VFL #GBO pic.twitter.com/yFTaTVSx6j

Gray, a safety, had been projected to land with Florida State by the 247Sports Crystal Ball until he chose to go to the in-state Volunteers.
Gray had also been heavily recruited by Alabama. A slew of other SEC schools were also interested in the four-star recruit.
