Video: Former Tennessee WR Cordarrelle Patterson takes kickoff return to the house
While at Tennessee, wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was one of the fastest players in the SEC. Now with the Minnesota Vikings, Patterson hasn’t lost a step.
In Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, Patterson fielded a kickoff and returned it 104 yards for the score. He ran straight through the coverage unit, and it appears nobody even managed to lay a hand on him.
Patterson needed to have a big play in Sunday’s game to justify his style choice. The receiver showed up wearing socks with his own image on them.

If he keeps returning kickoffs for touchdowns, he can probably wear a jersey with his face on it.
