ACC flop: Fans, media destroy conference for ugly postseason results

ACC teams are not simply playing poorly in the postseason. They are losing games at a disastrous rate, including a Saturday that involved losses by Miami and Boston College.
The conference is just 1-8 in bowl games this postseason, one of the worst records in existence in quite literally any category, owning that lone win when Syracuse played Wazzu. The Cougars were also a team behind the 8-ball a bit after head coach Jake Dickert left the team a little over a week before their bowl game.
Miami’s loss in the Pop-Tarts Bowl was particularly noteworthy. The Hurricanes were lighting up Iowa State offensively all game long, but Cam Ward did not play the 2nd half after an electric 1st-half performance. Instead, the star QB sat on the sidelines, even with Miami trailing by one point and a chance to win the game in the final minute.
If NC State manages to fall to the East Carolina Pirates, that would make matters even worse. NC State is clinging to a 21-20 lead late in the 4th quarter but the Pirates will get a chance to pull off the win.
Social media recently reacted to the numbers that the ACC has put up and expressed their disdain for some of what has gone on as of late:
It will be interesting to watch how this storyline evolves moving forward with a lot of football still left to be played as the action tapers down.
