Out of Prolific Prep, Sherrell is listed as measuring 6-10 and 215 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Sherrell is rated 5-stars, the No. 4 recruit in the state of California, No. 4 center and No. 22 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

Sherrell picked up scholarship offers from 22 schools during his recruitment. He chose Alabama over Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma and others.

Sherrell’s commitment to UA comes just over 1 year after Oats’ staff hosted him in Tuscaloosa for a campus visit. He wore jersey No. 22 for his Alabama photoshoot, which he posted to Instagram.
