Alabama commit Ty Simpson produces massive first half in season opener

Alabama commit Ty Simpson is not wasting any time to ramp up his season.
Simpson, who committed to the Crimson Tide in late February, is a 4-star QB, according to the 247Sports Composite, who plays for Westview in Martin, Tennessee. This week, Simpson threw for 4 touchdowns, and ran for another, during the first half of his season opener against Dresden, according to Adam Wells of WPSD Local 6.

Simpson is coming off a big summer where he was in Tuscaloosa every weekend in June, then spent time in Los Angeles during the Elite 11 Finals. He also worked out with former Alabama star AJ McCarron.
