Alabama DL Raekwon Davis was caught throwing punches late during the Missouri game.
He was flagged for the act but wasn’t ejected. It wasn’t a good look at all, and here’s the video replay if you haven’t seen it.
Following the 39-10 win over Mizzou, Davis took to social media to apologize for his inappropriate actions.
“I would like to apologize to Kevin Pendleton, the Missouri Tigers, their fans, Alabama Fans, and my teammates and coaches for my actions during tonight’s game,” Davis said via Twitter. “I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and that’s unacceptable. Again I’m sorry and it will never happen again.”
The Alabama DL finished the game with five tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.
Davis ended up throwing three punches to the rib cage of Mizzou OL Kevin Pendleton, who said after the game that Davis apologized to him directly.
Mizzou OL Kevin Pendleton had no idea what set off Alabama's Raekwon Davis when he started punching Pendleton. But Davis found him after the game. "We moved on. He’s a talented player. He wished me the best of luck this year. There’s no hard feelings."
