The star of the season opener for Alabama was Jalen Milroe, but some other quarterbacks also scored in the game. Mike Rodak of 247Sports broke down how each of them were used.
Milroe handled most of the reps at QB. Milroe ended the night with 194 yards passing and 5 total touchdowns.
Buchner entered the game in the second half after the Crimson Tide distanced themselves from the Blue Raiders. Buchner had the luxury of playing with most of the first-team offensive line.
Simpson came into the game with 9 minutes remaining.
Buchner had 27 yards passing and went 3-for-5 on completions. Simpson threw the ball once for 5 yards passing as Alabama continued to run the ball late in the game.
Alabama ended up winning the game by a score of 56-7. Nick Saban named Milroe the starting QB ahead of the game and the Alabama signal caller showed everyone why that was on Saturday.
The Crimson Tide face Texas next in Tuscaloosa.
