Simmons’ recruitment has been heating up. Since the spring, he’s received offers from Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Arkansas and more.

Simmons is the No. 67 defensive lineman and the No. 15 player from the state of Mississippi in the class of 2025, per 247Sports’ rankings. He’s a candidate to move up the rankings as this cycle progresses throughout the summer.

He attends Hartfield Academy in Flowood, Mississippi. Simmons is listed at 6-foot-3, 295 pounds.

Alabama now has 15 commits in its 2025 recruiting class, which is the first full cycle with Kalen DeBoer and his staff running the show in Tuscaloosa. He’s the second defensive lineman to commit in this class so far, joining 4-star Antonio Coleman.

Alabama’s class is currently No. 3 nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
