Alabama had a close call in Week 2 action on Saturday, defeating Texas 20-19 in a game that was much closer than anyone drew it up.
Obviously, for Alabama to have been ranked at No. 1 and for Texas to have been an unranked team, this performance was not up to the Alabama standard. That’s something wide receiver Treason holden recognizes, tweeting his apologies to fans after the game.
“My fault, Bama fans,” he wrote.
This obviously wasn’t all on Holden — this was a lackluster effort all around given the expectations that surround a team like Alabama. Holden finished the game with 4 receptions for 39 receiving yards after opening the season with 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Alabama will look to get back to its old ways as it faces a much easier opponent in Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday, Sept. 17.
My fault bama fans ??
