Alabama signee jumps Georgia signee for No. 1 spot on 247Sports’ final 2019 prospect rankings

There is a new No. 1 on 247Sports’ 2019 individual prospect rankings and the selection is sure to make Alabama fans pleased.
Five-star defensive end Antonio Alfano of New Jersey, an Alabama signee, has risen to the No. 1 spot in the final rankings update by 247Sports. The top spot was previously held by Georgia five-star defensive end signee Nolan Smith. Smith is now ranked No. 4 nationally, just below LSU signee Derek Stingley and Texas A&M signee DeMarvin Leal.

The highest ranked prospect that remains uncommitted is five-star offensive lineman is West Virginia lineman Darnell Wright, who has Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and West Virginia among his finalists. Wright is rated No. 25 nationally.
247Sports rates a total of 32 prospects as five-star in the 2019 recruiting cycle. Here are all the five-star recruits that are either headed to — or expected to sign with — SEC programs when National Signing Day roll around on Feb. 6:
