Bobby Petrino shares his thoughts on Alabama’s ongoing QB battle

The Louisville Cardinals face the unenviable task of facing the defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 1 of the 2018 season.
Making matters even more difficult is that the Tide haven’t named a starting quarterback yet, with both Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts in the mix to win the job.
On Monday, Louisville coach Bobby Petrino was asked about Alabama’s quarterback situation, and said the Cardinals are preparing for both quarterbacks, just in case:
Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino on Alabama’s QBs: “One of them only played a half and then cranked the ball deep and did a great job throwing the football. We've been having to prepare for both of them. They both can run, and they're both big, 220-pound guys.”

Many think Tagovailoa will be the starter, but Hurts is in the mix, too, and it’ll be interesting to see how both quarterbacks are used on Saturday.
The bigger problem for Petrino and the Cardinals, though, remains the Alabama defense and how they’ll be able to move the ball against the stout unit.
