NFL analysts have gushed over the 2020 NFL Draft haul by the Dallas Cowboys. Former Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was the marquee selection as a first-round pick, but the Cowboys may have gotten a steal with former Alabama defensive back Trevon Diggs in the second round.

On Sunday, the team’s official Twitter account shared a camp highlight play by Diggs. The former Crimson Tide standout went step for step on a deep route with his receiver (No. 85, Noah Brown) and successfully broke up a potential completion.

If Diggs, who went No. 51 overall in the draft, can consistently provide that kind of lockdown coverage, he’ll be a household name among pro football fans.

Diggs and the Cowboys open the season against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 20. We’ll see if he goes up against either of the Falcons’ former Alabama standouts, Julio Jones or Calvin Ridley.
