Derrick Henry injury: Titans RB’s status revealed before key Thursday night game vs. Cowboys

Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans have a big game ahead of them on Thursday night as they host the Dallas Cowboys at Nissan Stadium.
The Titans have spiraled in recent weeks, having lost their last 5. That’s allowed a resurgent Jacksonville Jaguars team to jump into the AFC South lead by winning 3 in a row and 5 of their last 7.
Josh Dobbs, who signed with the Titans on Dec. 21 off the Detroit Lions’ practice squad, will get the start at quarterback over regular backup Malik Willis with Ryan Tannehill’s season potentially over due to an ankle injury that placed him on injured reserve.
There’s even worse news for Tennessee on the injury front, though, as Henry has been ruled inactive as he is dealing with a hip injury. He didn’t practice with the team on Monday but was a limited participant Tuesday and Wednesday. That said, he could be available for the Titans’ regular-season finale against the Jaguars on Jan. 8.
Kickoff between the Cowboys and Titans is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
