DeVonta Smith catch or no catch? Incredible grab overturned by controversial replay review
DeVonta Smith had a potential game-changing catch wiped off the board late in the 1st half of the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
Smith appeared to make a one-handed grab with under a minute remaining that would have put the Eagles in the red zone with a chance to take a commanding lead.
Instead, replay officials overturned the catch, claiming he didn’t complete the process of the catch as he went to the ground.
Here’s a replay:
Omg what a play by DeVonta Smith, if it stands.
Might be another big pass play by Jalen Hurts.
Do you think it's a catch or not?https://t.co/PzAhHv1ZtU

The overturn may have ended up costing the Eagles 4 points. Philadelphia continued its drive and ended up settling for a field goal to end the half. The Eagles took a 24-14 lead into the halftime break.
Even without that catch, Smith had a great 1st half. He caught 6 passes — a game-high — for 55 yards before the break.
