Evan Neal shares personal message received from Bryce Young after he won Heisman Trophy
In Bryce Young’s Heisman Trophy speech he thank several people for helping him win this award: his family, his coaches, but most importantly his teammates, and said if it wasn’t for them, he wouldn’t be up on that stage.
And it wasn’t just talk either, Young texted teammate and offensive lineman Evan Neal after he won the award, and thanked him for his efforts in helping him win the Heisman.
Neal shared his text that the Heisman winner sent to him with reporters.
Evan Neal said Bryce Young texted him right after he won the Heisman Trophy and said, “Hey, man. I couldn’t do it without you.”
“That just shows the kind of character he has. I feel like he didn’t really look at as an individual award, he looked at it as more of a team thing.”

The much-maligned Alabama offensive line didn’t allow any sacks against Young in Alabama’s 41-24 victory over Georgia in the SEC Championship game. The Tide is beginning their preparations for the College Football Playoff semifinal game against Cincinnati.
