Former Alabama star Eddie Lacy reportedly arrested on ‘extreme DUI’ charge

Former Alabama running back Eddie Lacy is facing some trouble after reports of a serious DUI charge on Monday night.

According to TMZ Sports, Lacy was arrested in Arizona Monday night under DUI charges. According to the Scottsdale Police Department, Lacy was pulled over around 10:40 pm local time after officers witnessed him committing several traffic violations.

An SPD spokesperson revealed Lacy was arrested on 4 separate DUI charges, including “Extreme DUI” which signifies a BAC of .20 or more. Lacy was released Tuesday morning.

Lacy was a star running back for Nick Saban at Alabama from 2010-12. He rushed for 2,402 yards in his career with 30 touchdowns, including 1,322 yards and 17 touchdowns in the 2012 season.

Lacy was a part of 2 national championship teams before becoming a 2nd-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2013 NFL Draft. He would be named the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2013 and rushed for over 3,600 yards in 5 NFL seasons, including 4 for the Packers.
