Former Citadel player jokingly takes offense with FPI’s prediction for Alabama game
Understandably, ESPN’s Football Power Index isn’t super high on The Citadel’s chances to beat Alabama this Saturday.
The analytics system gives the Bulldogs just a 0.1 percent chance to beat the top-ranked Crimson Tide, which is to be expected for a 4-5 FCS team. But one former Citadel player is choosing to have some fun with the overwhelming odds his alma mater faces this weekend.
This is just disrespectful. You mean my Alma Mater only as a .1% chance to beat Alabama this weekend….really @espn? We couldn't even get at least 1%? C'mon man…? That's alright, we are going to shock the world this weekend. Go Bulldogs!! pic.twitter.com/eD1tRMOayj

According to Porter Johnson’s Twitter bio, he graduated from The Citadel in 2006. Johnson surely knows the Bulldogs have virtually no shot against Alabama this weekend, but he might have a point about his team having such small odds.
We’ll see just how close the game is when the Crimson Tide (10-0) hosts The Citadel at noon ET on Saturday.
