COVID is doing a number on this week’s college football slate. Games scheduled for Saturday are being called off in multiple conferences, including the SEC and Big Ten. With Alabama-LSU postponed and Ohio State-Maryland canceled, CFB Twitter instantly joked about making the two Top 3 squads play on Saturday.

It’s not just the media folks who want to see a rematch of the epic 2014 College Football Playoff clash. Ohio State punter Drue Chrisman tweeted at Alabama football’s official account on Wednesday afternoon.

While CBS would probably love to get the potential ratings juggernaut to follow its “Masters” lead-in, don’t expect to see the Crimson Tide and Buckeyes face off on the gridiron in the 2020 regular season.
