Jalen Milroe becomes first Alabama QB in history to record impressive statline
Jalen Milroe has already made history in his first start for Alabama.
In Alabama’s season opener against Middle Tennessee Saturday night, Milroe became the first quarterback in Alabama football history to record 3 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. He achieved the impressive feat just 3 quarters into the game.

It’s an encouraging start for the sophomore and is sure to give the team and fans confidence as Alabama moves into a new quarterback era with Bryce Young leaving big shoes to fill after last season’s Heisman-caliber year.
Milroe, who has now been relieved as Alabama leads MTSU big in the fourth quarter, had 194 passing yards and 48 rushing yards to go along with his 5 touchdowns in his debut as Alabama’s starter. While it’s still early in the season, Milroe has made it clear that he is more than comfortable in the starter role as Alabama begins its conquest for another championship.
Milroe and the Tide will get an early test next week when they take on Texas.
