Jameson Williams injury update: Detroit Lions think former Alabama star has ‘turned the corner’
Despite being a top get for Detroit in the 2022 NFL Draft, Jameson Williams has yet to suit up for the Lions. Williams suffered an ACL in the national championship game while playing for Alabama last season.
The Lions have taken a cautious approach with the receiver, and Williams was put on the Reserve/NFI list to start the 2022 season. However, on Tuesday, Detroit head coach Dan Campbell showed some optimism about Williams’ return to the team, saying that in the last month, Williams has “turned the corner” in his recovery.

Williams’ speed is something the Lions could definitely use at the moment, as Detroit is 1-4 on the season and struggling. Williams had 79 catches for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns for Alabama in 2021, and could be an impact player for the Lions when healthy.
Detroit will face off against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
